It’s been a fabulous summer at Cecil’s, and as the season begins to wind down, we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has joined us over the past few months. From special occasions and pre-theatre dinners to relaxed evenings overlooking South Bay, it’s been a pleasure to welcome so many familiar faces and new guests through our doors.

Open daily from 6pm, Cecil’s offers relaxed dining with sweeping views across Scarborough’s beautiful South Bay. On evenings when there are events at the Scarborough Spa, we also open earlier for pre-show dining.

We’re now looking ahead to autumn, and Andrew and Ronan have been busy in the kitchen creating a menu full of the flavours of the season. Expect warming, comforting dishes alongside the fresh, thoughtful cooking Cecil’s is known for, with plenty of Yorkshire produce and carefully sourced ingredients making an appearance.

We’ve uploaded a sample of our Autumn Menu, which we’re planning to launch on Tuesday 22nd September. Our much-loved Sunday Lunches will also return on Sunday 27th September, just in time for those first proper autumn Sundays by the sea. Bookings are already being welcomed in advance, so if you’re planning a visit, we’d recommend getting your table booked early.

We’re also incredibly proud to share that Cecil’s has retained its AA Rosette for 2026. To continue to hold this recognition is a wonderful achievement for Andrew, Ronan and the whole kitchen and restaurant team, and a real testament to their dedication, creativity and consistency.

Looking further ahead, we’ve also uploaded sample menus for our Group Festive Menu, with Christmas bookings now well underway. We’re especially delighted to say that Christmas Day at Cecil’s is fully booked once again. A huge thank you to everyone who booked so far in advance and chose to spend such a special day with us — we really do appreciate your support.

As always, our menus are rooted in locality — from fresh fish delivered by Yorkshire Seafoods to carefully sourced meats and vegetables from nearby farms and butchers — all prepared with care, creativity and respect for the ingredient.

Dining at Cecil’s is all about feeling both special and completely at ease. Whether you’re joining us for a relaxed evening meal, a Sunday lunch, a special celebration or a festive get-together, we hope you’ll find thoughtful food, warm hospitality and panoramic sea views coming together to create something memorable.
