Weston Hotel Covid-19 Policy Statement

The Weston Hotel, and its management team, accepts all responsibility for operating the hotel during the Covid-19 pandemic. We will ensure the protection of our guests, workforce and contractors by minimising the risk of Covid-19 entering the hotel and the spread of infection within the property. We have created a new set of operational protocols in line with the Government’s recommendations on Covid-19. These are exceptional circumstances and we will comply with the latest Government advice on Covid-19 at all times.

The latest government advice can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus

Management have, in the first instance, carefully assessed the working operations & layout of the business. At this stage, it is not possible for any member of staff to work from home, however all members of staff have been consulted prior to re-opening and those unable to work, will remain furloughed for the meantime. Secondly, we have undertaken a risk assessment to make the working environment as safe as possible, in line with current UK Government guidance on Covid-19. A copy has been shared with all staff and is available on request. All existing health and safety legislation has been complied with. Any business activity that does not comply to current Covid-19 guidelines, will be suspended indefinitely.

Each member of our team will be given department specific guidelines, which will detail what is required and expected of them whilst on site. Furthermore, managers will remind the workforce at every opportunity of the Operating Procedures which are aimed at protecting our guests, themselves, their colleagues, their families and the UK population. If our business is not consistently implementing the measures appropriately, it may be required to close at short notice. This policy will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and will be revised as necessary in response to changes in legislation or guidance on methods of working. All of our guests, employees, contractors, suppliers, and consultants are all required to cooperate with us in making this policy work.
